Atlanta Hawks


The Atlanta Hawks are an American professional basketball team, based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Winners of the 2015 NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors, the Hawks opened their 2015-2016 season by collecting nine out of nine possible points on the first two games on the road.

However, they lost their first three games, tying a 2015-16 NBA record with nine losses in the first three games.

The Hawks opened the season with a road win against the New Orleans Pelicans and a home win against the Toronto Raptors. They also won their fifth game on the road against the Philadelphia 76ers and their first home game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

They ended up winning nine out of their first eleven games and ended the season with a 16-1 run. They finished the season with a franchise-record 62-20 record and won their first NBA Championship since 1976.

The 2016 NBA Summer League will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, from July 6th to July 13th. Teams that are participating in the league include Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Nets, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies, Milwaukee Bucks, New Orleans Pelicans, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Orlando Magic, Philadelphia 76ers, Portland Trail Blazers, Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs, Toronto Raptors, Utah Jazz, Washington Wizards, and the Washington Mystics.

The Atlanta Hawks finished the regular season as the best team in the Eastern Conference with a 72-10 record. They led the league in regular-season wins and points scored and finished the season on top of the divisional standings. They played the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals. The series opened with two games in Oakland.

The Hawks won the first two games and missed a chance at winning the series. The Warriors won Game 3, bringing the series back to Atlanta. The Hawks played the Warriors again in Game 5. The Warriors took a 3-2 series lead with a win against Atlanta. Game 6 was at Oakland, and the Warriors took a 2-0 series lead with a win against the Hawks. Game 7 was in Atlanta. The Warriors won their second NBA Championship in three years with a win over the Hawks.
