The first all-star basketball player to join the 2008 Celtics, Paul Pierce has been a mainstay on the Boston roster. In 33 years as a pro, he’s been named to 13 All-Star teams and helped his team win the 2008 NBA Championship.
He is one of nine players in NBA history to have scored at least 25,000 points and grabbed 7,000 rebounds in their career. His nickname “Captain” was given by former teammate Kevin Garnett after they were teammates with the Washington Wizards from 2001–2004. The name stuck because it sounded cool. It also fits him well since he had always led by example.
Paul Pierce Shoes
Nike Air Legacy 3
Nike is looking to create a whole new shoe for basketball players with their Nike Air Legacy 3 basketball shoes. Nike has developed these shoes in an effort to provide more comfort, grip, and traction on the court for players of all levels.
When talking about the latest NBA season Paul Pierce said “I think they are good shoes, I’m happy with them”. He went on to say that his favorite part of the shoe is how comfortable they feel when playing.
This is due to the fact that there is no padding inside the shoe which allows for maximum movement while still providing support. Players like LeBron James have been seen wearing this model as well.
The new Nike Air Legacy 3 Basketball Shoes feature a full-length Zoom Air unit at the heel combined with a midfoot Zoom Air unit. The upper consists of mesh material along with synthetic overlays. A rubber outsole provides excellent traction and durability.
